If you open many tabs in Google Chrome, unless you have a very wide monitor or browser window extending multiple monitors, you cannot view the page titles of each tab in their entireties onscreen. While you can hover over a tab to view one full title, if you need to manage your tabs, wouldn't it be nice if there was a way to view all titles simultaneously?
The "VerticalTabs" extension for Google Chrome allows you to manage your tabs in a different way, via a vertical list you can display as a popup with the click of a button. Once opened you can rearrange tabs in the list, close tabs, or if you have a lot of tabs opened, search for opened tabs.
Managing tabs in Google Chrome via the "VerticalTabs" extensionTo install:
1. From Google Chrome, visit the "VerticalTabs" page.
2. Click the "Install" button.
Installing the "VerticalTabs" extensionOnce installed, to open the list of tabs vertically in a popup, just click the new VerticalTabs button that appears in the Toolbar.
You can configure the extension by right-clicking the button and selecting "Options". Change the width of the popup, adjust the title line size, and toggle whether or not the number of tabs should appear in the button. You can also see keyboard shortcuts that work when viewing the popup.
