Picasa - Show or Hide Popup Tooltips

SUMMARY: Make sure tooltips are displayed in Picasa if you need some extra help, or hide them if you are a Picasa expert.

Depending on your configuration, Picasa may show pop-up tooltips as you hover over buttons and other on-screen elements. These may describe button functions in more detail, show the full path of a folder, explain what a slider bar configures, etc.

If you are an expert with Picasa, you may tire of these pop-ups and wish to turn them off. On the other hand, if these do not appear and you could use some extra help, turn tooltips back on by doing the following:

1. Select "Tools" - "Options".

2. When the "Options" multi-tabbed dialog box appears, make sure the "General" tab is selected.

3. Next to "User interface", check or uncheck "Show tooltips" as desired.

4. Click "OK" to close the dialog box.
